I will continue to challenge policies that I believe are bad for our state. Using money that was set aside for a specific purpose to cover up excessive spending from the State's General Fund is very bad policy, no matter which party is the culprit.
It's past time for the Iowa Legislature to do the hard work of prioritizing our state needs. The Governor's 10% across the board cut will probably result in essential state services being significantly reduced, putting our state at risk in more ways than one.
